Yup! Even the Pope wants to get social like us.
On June 29, the head of the Roman Catholic Church using an iPad tweeted for the first time. The Pope sent a 129 message to the twitterverse about the launch of the Vatican news website News.va, and ofcourse praised the son of God.
Now after hearing about it, a few questions popped into my head.
- Was it really the Pope who tweeted, or was it a virtual assistant he hired from Freelancer.com?
- If it was him who tweeted, how many times did he edit the message to make it under 140?
- What is that statue on the Vatican’s Twitter page pointing at, and what does it mean? Does it point to a clue?
- Why is the Vatican not following God on Twitter? Are they denying his existence in the twitterverse? http://twitter.com/god
- And lastly, how would the devil react to this social media marketing campaign being waged by the Holy See?
