For the time being, Google+ does not allow users to use Google+ Profiles for business purposes. And it is just logical since the platform is not yet even totally open to the public. Allowing users to do so would just open the floodgates for the proliferation of spam messages.
But then again, Google has revealed that it is working with a selected business for the purpose of developing business profiles on their social media platform under the name Google+ Entity.
In standard Google hype building fashion, you need to apply to be even remotely considered being part of Google+ Entity.
On the Entity page, it says:
"Fill out this form to apply for consideration in our program allowing a limited number of businesses to use Google+. We will be using this small experiment to see the effect of including brands in the Google+ experience.
Filling out this form does not guarantee you a spot in the program. These test profiles will be retired when we launch our business product."
Though it’s a long shot that small business will get access to this development process, it’s worth a try don’t you think?
Below is the image of the application page.
If you are a business owner and would like to use Google+ for business, take your chances at being accepted into this program by clicking on this link and apply to Google+ Entity.
