New Update for Facebook

Harried by the day's work, I still had enough energy left to stay up late and attend the live coverage of Facebook's F8. (Thanks to Tom Anderson for posting the link on his profile)

F8 is Facebook's annual developer conference, a highly anticipated one in fact. My excitement (and skepticism) accelerated when I read Ben Parr's (of Mashable.com) comment about the new features and interface of Facebook as he already saw what FB is launching. To quote Ben Parr:

"On Thursday, developers will be elated, users will be shellshocked and the competition will look ancient. On Thursday, Facebook will be reborn. Prepare yourselves for the evolution of social networking."

It's a Saturday from where I am and it's been two days since F8. I have yet to experience the new interface and features that Facebook is rolling out. ( I don't understand why they can't have a mass update instead? pft) My skepticism about the new FB is still alive and kicking. From experience, I'm not sure whether or not these are what the users need or want. However, I will keep my opinion to myself until I experience the new Facebook.

I will post my review as soon as I experience the new Facebook. For now, I'll keep on wishing that they'd hurry up and update my profile already!
